Final Week in Brunei

Just some updates on the happenings in my final week in Brunei:

Was supposed to be back on Saturday (25/2) one... But when I first came, I was told I'm staying for one more week at least. So was having UAT on Sat at IPA, then there were some problems at the server when I arrived... I couldn't even log in to the portal... (sweat sia...)... Then the users came liao and only me around (super sweat...). Quickly called DT and SS, who was at DC... In the end had to postpone the session to the afternoon. Luckily, the users were not angry (phew...). The afternoon session went on smoothly though there were still some business issues to be settled.

At night went to Kiulap for dinner... But DT gotta pick PK up at Kiarong area, so he dropped me and XY at Kiulap first. So the two of us went explore the area abit... Found another DVD shop in the area (hehehe)... Then went into this big supermarket, which is like Giant in Singapore...

After a while DT and PK came... So we circle around the area trying to find a place to dine. Finally went into a restaurant where we had Steamboat / BBQ buffet, all this at a cost of B$10 (not too exp IMO)...

Nothing of note happened for the next few days, except that went to a new place for lunch on Wednesday. It was a chicken rice restaurant at Gadong, near The Mall. Looks like the business pretty good here, cos by the time we came the chicken almost sold out liao...

Then at night went to the malay restaurant just beside our hotel. PK had went back by this time, so we can try the malay restaurant, cos he dun like... :p... Another partner, O and his colleague, J, also joined us for dinner. It was J's first time in Brunei, I think and luckily she was around cos the menu was in Malay (she's Malaysian)... We ordered a dinner set with 3 dish + 1 soup and some Satay (chicken, lamb and rabbit sticks)... The satays was my fav, as for the rest... err...

After dinner went DVD shop at Gadong, we go on our separate ways and I had a shopping spree... hehe... DT went shopping for some present at The Mall. After the shopping, went gai gai...

We went to a Mosque at Kiulap/Kiarong area... This we have passed by quite a few times already but never really have a chance to take a picture until today. O said that this mosque is built for the current sultan, not sure if it's true or not...

After that go on to another mosque, this time in Bandar, I think... This one also looks pretty majestic.

Then we went a bit further down to look at Kampong Ayer, the water village. But it was too dark to take any pictures... But there are still a lot of river taxis prowling at the wharf at this time.

Final stop was the Brunei National Stadium. It was the place where PK and DT went jogging... Although there was no event going on when we reached. So again went explore quite a bit on our final night here in BSB.
