My 'Lucky' Day

My project has gone live over the last weekend (fyi, this means that the system that I was working on is available for public use). But that also meant that I had to come back to work on the Saturday that has gone by, to deploy the project. Anyway, don't think that I'll be free from now on, still have to implement some unfinished functions.

Back to today though, it was a rather eventful day for me... I went to an Indonesian restaurant at Boat Quay for lunch with ET, MK, HT, LW, PP and JT. It was suppose to be just another normal meal at lunch, at least that was what I think. Then the waiter had to spill the drinks over at my table, of all places. But luckily with my quick reflexes, I did not kena much except for a few drops of water that was splashed on my polo tee. MK and JT then commented that I should go buy big sweep, since I was so 'lucky' today.

After lunch, just sat in front of the computer and continue to program... Then had to help put up the decor for CNY in the office, at abt 4+... Today can leave office early because my PM had already apply leave for the team to go early for a sumptuous dinner at Still Road, to commemorate the successful launch of our project... The stall that we patronize is famous for its black pepper crab, and to say it is good is an understatement, it is really delicious, oishii (running out of words to desribe)...

Took a bus home after dinner, but more event was still to come... and guess what, the bus broke down halfway through the journey... had no choice but to alight from the bus, but not forgetting to get a refund (for the ez-link) and collect a complimentary ticket from the driver (which I think is a standard procedure). Waited for the next bus to come, with half of my journey still to go... Boarded the 2nd bus after a couple of minutes wait (more than a couple of minutes rather...), and continue my journey home. As the bus made a final turn towards my home, it came to a halt and the engine died (and I was thinking not again...). Luckily, the driver managed to start up the engine again, and travel just a short distance to the bus stop where I alighted...
