Wedding Dinner

Went to my neighbour's (the groom) wedding dinner at Marina Mandarin today. I had attended Charlene's wedding dinner at the same venue about half a year ago. This time I think there were more tables, something like close to 60. This makes the whole place very cramped. And worst of all, my seat was in the path of the waiters most of the time.

Dinner started quite early though, at about 830pm. And before that was the solemnization ceremony for the couple, which lasted for about 15 minutes. The usual 9-course meal then ensued. In between, a video montage of the day's happening was shown, which includes the process of the groom picking up the bride and the tea ceremony etc...

And finally some event worth mentioning about the dinner:

  1. I saw Silver Ang (from last year's Project SuperStar) at the dinner and she was sitting at the table on my left. Apparently, she was the bridegroom's cousin.
  2. At 2 tables behind me, a man (looked like in his forties) went on a booze and got drunk. He had to be escorted out of the ballroom by 2 of his friends.
  3. And finally at the table on my right, a wine glass shattered towards the end of the dinner. Not sure why though. Only saw the broken wine glass.
