Taiwan Itinerary At a Glance: Day 8
Spent the whole of the day at Leofoo Village (六福村). We took the MRT to Jing An (景安) station before transferring to a bus. There was some miscommunication when we were using our discount coupon to buy the bus ticket at the counter. But in the end all was promptly settled. Here is the bus ticket
Arriving at the theme park.
Entrance to one of the four different sections in the theme park.
And some of the rides that we took: Ring of Fire... Went round and round in 360°
Flying Horse... Bored, a slow ride.
Rocking Steam Boat... Not good to do it just after lunch, and luckily we didn't... :D
Kid's Katarmaran... From the name itself, you knew it was not meant for the adults
Captain Cook's Swinging Ship... The usual pirate ship. A young girl was quite daring to be seated at the other end of the ship, and she was enjoying it.
Bird Flight
Mighty Mountain... At this ride, other patrons to the park can use a coin-operated cannon to "shoot" at the boat coming down from the slope and splashing the water in the process.
Sea Serpent... Another one that just went round and round.
Pagoda's Revenge... This is rather thrilling, the thing just went up and then descend down within less than a second and its over.
Barrel Ride... Spinning and spinning.
Screaming Condor... This was another thrilling ride. The thing just traverse in a U-shape and got a little twist right at the end. And there was a technical problem when we were about to start off. This delayed us for a few minutes. This picture only shows part of the U though.
In between the rides, we had our lunch and watched some performance as well.
We went for some more rides and it was dark by about 530pm or so. The park closed at 6pm, and we made full use of our time there. Just managed to shop for some souvenirs right at the end. Then took the same bus back to Taipei City, where we alighted at the Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT Station (忠孝复兴) to take the train to Taipei 101.
A pity by the time we went there, the observatory tower is already closed for the day.
Then we went to a Japanese Restaurant at Neo 19 for our dinner. And it was here that we saw Aisa Senda. What a waste we didn't take a picture with/of her
The Jap restaurant was called Jogoya (上阁屋). It was buffet style, and they got a large selection of food, drinks and desserts. Really value for money IMO, even though the price was not cheap. Had a very satisfying dinner I would say. It was back to hotel after that. Although SG still had a date afterwards... :P
