Emirates Cup 2007
Its just a pre-season friendly tournament, but the team's performance gave the fans optimism about the future. Missing the likes of Adebayor, Rosicky, Walcott and new signing Eduardo, the team still managed put in a competent performance. Strangely though each team only played 2 games and the Gunners won both their games 2-1 to finish top with 10 points (each goal scored earns a point as well).
Arsenal 2 PSG 1
First game on Saturday was a tough one. They didn't play very well, but still managed to grind out a result. The young gunners midfield looks promising with Flamini, Diaby, Denilson and Fabregas. Also, Nicklas Bendtner showed good potential since the first time I saw him in a league cup tie 2 or 3 years ago. But he could have been more composed with the one-on-one and penalty kick.
Arsenal 2 Inter 1
This time, the Gunners dominated the game only to fell behind to a David Suazo header, their only shot on target at that point of time. However, they did came back and Van Persie won the game with a well-taken goal, dragging the ball forward with his left and blasting it into the top corner with his right. In this game, we saw another promising youngster by the name of Kieran Gibbs, who was undaunted by the occasion (think will see more of him in the league cup this season). And Sagna and Eboue linked up pretty well on the right flank.
Van Persie's goal
Keep this going in the upcoming season!

Barnet 0 Arsenal 2
A good start to the pre-season for the Gunners over the weekend as life goes on without Henry. Just look at the second goal.

Hat Yai Trip 2007: Day 4
The final day and a final look at the hotel.
And the transport to the airport (with the same chatty driver again).
And the airport once again.
Finally, home sweet home... :)
